Strictly necessary cookies hold the reader session, the separate short-lived administrator session, and CSRF protection. Login links use one-time tokens; raw tokens are not stored in the database.
The reader may keep presentation preferences and a local reading anchor under keys beginning with `lb.`. Private book pages, whispers, provider responses, and generated passages are not placed in service-worker caches. Logout clears Living Book local/session storage and versioned caches.
Optional improvement telemetry is an account preference and defaults off. No advertising or marketing cookies are implemented.
Status: operator approved for the narrowly bounded private beta. External review of final notice classification and wording remains pending and advisory.
